I was beyond excited when I saw "Raven" as the prompt and knew immediately it would be about Huginn and Muninn! I love Norse mythology so much. It may not fit into horror, but I couldn't help it.

Sharp bills drink eyes of the dead
Glutted with pale flesh
“Raven’s feast” is my favorite kenning for battle. The image of these big black birds picking a battlefield clean is so chilling. Nicely done.
In darkness they soar
An unkindness of ravens
To mock Poe’s spent soul
Poor Poe😔 He never got the success he deserved. Lovely little ode.
Raven dark hair,
My beloved turns from me
And whispers, Wake up.
You are soooo good at evoking an understated unease. Amazing!
