I really like this!! ‘Flip flop’ made me think of shoes which then gave this a whole modern take that was very pleasantly de-centering… I hope that made sense 😂

It’s such a sad story! She does eventually become a light spirit, I think, but only after so much suffering.
It is very sad, but I also prefer them over Disney's super sanitized versions. I hate happy endings.
