La Llorona, a vengeful ghost from Mexican folklore, is said to have drowned her children upon discovering her husband’s infidelity.

Soft weeping echoes
Through the deserted forest
Follow it, and die
In her sorrow she then drowned herself. Her spirit wanders near bodies of water, wailing and looking for her children. Hearing her cursed weeping causes death and misfortune.
Sadness grips her heart
Reason flies away with wind
Time for her to die
La Llorona mata, mata, mata
La venganza vuela, vuela
La muerte bebe
The weeper kills kills kills
Vengeance soars and soars
Death drinks deep
