A Hungarian noblewoman who lived from 1560 to 1614, Elizabeth Báthory was said to have killed over 300 peasant girls so she could bath in their blood.

Flows in her great corridors
A cruel immortal
Historians now think that her crimes were exaggerated so male relatives could take possession of the large landholdings she’d inherited when her husband died. I say exaggerated because she was, by several accounts, still a very cruel and sadistic woman, just probably not bathing in blood.
