May 25 - The Kraken
My hook is crooked
Reflecting from the sea floor
Waiting for release
Wow, the suspense packed into this is so good🖤
🐙 Thx!
Many arms embrance
The ship’s keel, timbers shatter
Like a brittle spine.
Such a horrifying description. I love it so much🖤
Ocean of deep space
Home of Ship Leviathan
Holds its captives close
Wait, there’s a space Leviathan?? Your haiku is very intriguing🖤
I’m writing a new SF story titled “Leviathan, the Prison Ship”
Oh cool! Sounds terrifying! I don’t read nearly enough sci-fi, I need to check this out when it’s done.
Will be part, I hope, of a second book of SF stories, so should be awhile.
I’ll just have to be patient then😊
Yeah, your prompt made me think of it. Have a spooky day!
Lurker in the depths
The skerries form as you rise
Tentacles thrashing
Very cool scene, I love that there are several ways this scene could play out🖤
Recently observed playing hockey in Seattle.
Must be a great defender!
A shift in the deep
Sailors splinter into bone
This is how it ends
Oh man! I love that you mirrored a boat’s timber splintering with a man’s bones!
Hmm… I wonder if the kraken dies after spawning like squid do??
Not if they grow into sea monsters. “Release the Kraken.”
Perhaps we’ve been misinterpreting the phrase ‘release the kraken’ and it is actually something all the hatchlings say reverently to their mother as she shuffles off her mortal coil.
