It's a very powerful image in its grotesqueness, the combo of that Victorian-era freak with ancient nature/folk beliefs in a modern noir setting is a delicious mashup.
Way to keep the momentum up. Tight take on a hardboiled nightmare with some holiday flair. Fuckin' love it. Moved like I wanted it to, great voice, solid imagery, intact interiority. Yeah, fuckin' dig this one, especially the fatalist ending.
This was delightfully surreal and macabre. just amazing what the mind can dream up. the skeletal leaping lords... ive got a great mental image going on... Nutmeg street... loved that! mistletoe poison and parasite... ingenious! Thank you ! 😎
The Lords and their legs, the killer mistletoe. The dark holiday vibe. Loved this mystery and how you tied up so neatly in a bow. RIP Fenn - at least for another century.
I will never look at Mistletoe the same way again. Absolutely ghoulish.
Just trying to raise public awareness👍
Loved this story, gona take some notes for when writing mine.
I wondered how you'd work plants into "Ten Lords a-leaping!"😂
Mistletoe!! Although there is quite a lot of greenery associated with the holidays. But mistletoe is my favorite🖤
Mistletoe is a good one.
I've heard holly berries have a laxative effect...not quite what one looks for in a horror story even if the results might be horrific...😂
I can't tell if I'm shivering from the content or how cold the story makes me feel by description of the weather alone.
Aw thanks! Setting is a challenge for me sometimes, I’m glad it worked out ok ☺️
So that's what you wanted the research material on Spring-Heeled Jack for!
It was a wonderful story, winterish and ghastly, and of course a plant was at the bottom of it all along...
Ha! Yeah, I really liked the image of Spring-Heeled Jack jumping around and terrorizing people. I’m glad you liked it!

Phenomenal. Love the imagery of a too tall figure appearing in a window. The ending too was great
Thank you so much 😊
The plant horror queen! We bow to you Honeygloom.
Aw man, the plants are the real stars here☺️
They are terrifying. What a great Christmas present 🗣️🗣️
Thank you!! 😊
So great, Honeygloom!
Still miss HH but you are such a wonderful writer!
Thank you so much! Thank you for reading!

Oh man, thank you! 🙏
Story definitely passed all my acid tests. Fuckin’ dope one.
🫠🖤
In my mind, these lords look a little like the baby-alien at the end of Alien: Romulus. 😳 Scary. haha
Ooo yeah, that thing was 😬 Imagine it in a top hat.
Wow! Fantastic! Much as I love them, I’ve always been wary of oaks. I’ll be more attentive to any signs of mistletoe!
Ha! Thank you! 😊
Chilling! Love all the little details twined together. And that ending, chef's kiss.
Thank you 🙏
wow this has everything!!! your lords are terrifying.
Thank you!!
