This is a really cool format and idea! Monster plants? Witches? Spells? Horror? You got me. I'm excited to see it grow. I love plants and horror so I'm going to love following along. I've also written one plant-based horror short called Shutdown published by Terraform, and my first screenplay was about man-eating plants in Joshua Tree. I also have a few of these Monstera plants that are taking over their small spaces. Definitely here for this!
I'm back, wanted to add how much I wish I could have plants at my apartment sometimes. My roommate can't take the pollen. But we have a brilliant line of trees right outside the back windows, and for them I'm also glad.
Indoor plants mostly donβt flower, so no pollen! I would say try something like a dracaena, any ficus, any philodendron, you should be good. Stay away from hoyas and spider plants, oh and peace lilies (spathophylum) theyβll all flower indoors.
Thank you, I had no idea! My room gets direct sunlight for at least 4-5 hours a day, and it still filters though the trees a little after that, so I'll keep that in mind too.
"I have two, they donβt really fit in my tiny apartment, but itβs fine. Everything is fine. As long as weβre surrounded by plants, thatβs all that matters." π

Ahhh!! Thank you so much!
Joshua Tree is such an eerie place! What a great setting. Also, screenplays intimidate the heck out of meπ Much respect to you for writing them.

Happy for you. π
I have since moved them outside and theyβre thriving out there. Big boys, but theyβre happyβ¨
