This is based on a true story. In 1995, AOL sent me to NOLA to cover Jazzfest. Walking through the aisle of vendors, I saw the Voodoo Priestess’ booth and excitedly walked over. She looked at me, smiled, and said “You’re the one from AOL. I’ve been waiting for you.” Completely creeped me out. Kid you not.
