I weave, it whispers low.

but its form slips through my threads—

Ghost of many nights,
its shape drifts within my lair,
always watching, silent still.

we are never free.

Taken by surprise
Your web, silky soft
Your eyes, eight black shiny spheres
Your appetite, huge!
A web of wonder
with mother at dead centre
alive to every move
