March 8 - Cyclops
An homage to “The Odyssey”
Nobody’s eye turns
Blinded by deception, lies
A stake through the truth
Nice! Such an epic scene. Makes you want to shake your fist at Ulysses.
Weary circle eye,
heavy with the weight of years -
forever alone.
I love this! A good mix of humor and pathos.
An eye for an eye
He starts with disadvantage
Good luck taking his
Nice work! I love that your worked in the saying, very clever🖤
Leela from "Futurama" and Polyphemus from "The Odyssey" are the cyclops I know of best- they are of very different temperaments.
Ha! Forgot about Leela. Should have put her picture up there.
A single eye brings
Both light and darkness alike -
And at last, your end.
This sounds like it should be at the beginning of an epic sci-fi/fantasy story. So cool🖤
These Haikus are my favorite lessons on ancient things. You pack so much detail in these posts.
I'm always Googling a bit more about the topic right away
Ha! I have fun researching. I’m kind of an obsessive learner😂
Well, here's a last-minute entry.
Why did Cyclops go...
...to France? He wanted to see…
...the ‘Eyeful’ Tower.
😂😂❤️
Thanks!! I had a hard time deciding, honestly.
