Nietzsche? Cyclical time would be a true cosmic horror. Well done 🖤

Make us laugh until “The End”

No sequels in life

Ha! Never seen that one, I’ll have to check it out. Premise looks a little dark 😅

It was on freevee (Pluto) the other night. I didn't watch much, but I remember it from when I was younger. But I did used to like both those actors in their prime. But hard to watch older stuff sometimes. The sound quality... And comedies don't always hold up.

Yeah comedy can definitely shift its rubicon throughout the years.

The end is the beginning. Around and around.

I like this, it’s important to remember that cycles give us a chance to improve our upcoming journey.🖤

This is what I based my poem on. The ancient myth of the eternal return in which apocalyptic events like the world burning every so many years, or the great flood both end the world and begin it anew. Though this myth was generally viewed positively it was also totally devastating.

Those cycle myths are so interesting. It’s hard not to see them as anything but terrifying from a modern perspective, but you’re right, they don’t seem to have been perceived that way. My knowledge is definitely limited, though.

They are incredibly fascinating! Glad I’m not the only one who thinks so. You’re probably not looking for a book recommendation but if you want to know more about that kind of myth there’s a great little book called The Myth of the Eternal Return by Mircea Eliade. It is small but packed with incredible information.

Haha, I am always looking for good books to read!
