July 20 - Moth
I'm really enjoying your haikus! Makes me wanna go back and write some more on here!
Go for it!! Make sure to tag me so I see them! I mostly use the app for notes and it’s hinky with notifications on older posts I’ve noticed.
Def will!! I do have some older ones on here somewhere. Although, I'm currently putting together a collection of them into a book along with cat drawings haha.
Oh that sounds amazing!! I hope you’ll let me know when it’s done!
Ooo I def can!! <3
Suckling on jumpers,
A baby raised in wardrobe dark,
I grew to chase light
Epic moth journey! I love this! Also love the image of baby moths sucking yarn strands. So weirdly cute.
Silent fluttering
In moonlit urban chaos—
Moth finds its quiet.
‘Moonlit urban chaos’ is such a cool phrase! It needs to be a band name or a poetry collection🖤
Thank you. 🙏
A hole in one, not golf;
Whole wool sweater eaten
Moth balls did no good .
But a moth has a full belly, so there’s that😊
Full belly ti heavy to fly. Stays put for the next course. Dessert.
Noooo I hate moths 😂
It’s a common fear I’ve come to realize! I’m assuming because they’re fond of flying right at your face in the dark of night? Tiny jump scare masters😂
Hold it by the wing, throw it out
the window. A good deed, but -
what's the scent of this dark dust
on fingertips, and its wild enchantment?
So cool! The places this poem can go are very enticing, really well done🖤
Thanks HG I appreciate it
This must be how love
Feels, an invisible string
pulling you towards light.
Ooo I love that! Definitely a couple interpretations which is so awesome🖤
Thank you!
Bane of marshmallow roasts
Yet we crave sweet treats
Worth the inconvenience?
Oo I know this one! Yes!!😜 Love this, very fun and unique take🖤
Flight, towards the light,
Awaits us all in the end,
Enticed, just like them... 😎
Very deep, love the connection you made there🖤
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it... 😎
Crowd around the bulb
To drink in, dizzy, the light:
The meaning of life
I really love how you broke up the middle line. I had to read this aloud and it sounded so good🖤
