Beauteous creature

My theft will seal the bargain

Unnatural love

I see what you did there in the middle line😂 And I love that there’s a joke in the middle of this contractual language kind of underscoring the farce these “relationships” were. Really cool🖤

Selkie seal of approval

Graciously granted.

Whisker- wiggles and ruses

Rushes to enrich men’s wishes.

Hey, the lighter side of selkies🖤

Fun take Honeygloom. This one is such a sad lore in a way.

Thank you!! A lot of the stories are pretty sad, but I also love that there are supposedly whole families of these seal people under the waves. It’s fun to daydream about 😶‍🌫️😜

She will never stop yearning

For her stolen skin

They emerge, unbound

Slip through ephemeral forms

You were made to shift

Beautiful, as always, I particularly love the pov shift in the third line of the second poem. So cool to bring the reader into the fantasy that way🖤

😂Thanks for clarifying. Did you mean, “I took a selkie”? Autocorrect is a bitch on this one. Did it to me several times😂

ClownWorld Shakespeare's avatar

Sorry, I took a liberty with your prompt. The selkies made me do it!

Ooo, this is very eerie, the idea of someone else wearing your skin. I love this take🖤
