October 4 - Ghoul
A humanoid grave-robbing monster originating in pre-Islamic Arabic religion, often classed as a type of Jinn.
Your prompt is GHOUL
Strolling the graveyard
Arm in arm, shovels at hand
We’ll dig for a bite
While ghouls are typically said to only eat dead humans, they are known to occasionally eat the living as well. In some traditions it is said that ghouls take the form of the inhabitant of the last grave they robbed.
Tenderised meat chunks
marinated in soft rot,
scab-blistered mouthfeel!
I wrote a story about a female ghoul tricking a boy into being killed and eaten by her- it's not yet been published here, but I hope to do it soon.
