Blushing stones warm homes

They also heat the poker

Is that ham cooking?

Full of warmth and heat

Or left cold, bare and empty

Is the hearth of love

I love the feel and imagery of the poem in this post. It makes me feel like I’m peeking into the window of a very old and very large legendary story.

It's worse in the summer than the winter. Last summer it seemed like most of Canada was on fire because of the way the forests lit up for various reasons.

I live in California, we basically have a burning season now, too. You’re fires were worse than ours last year, I think though.
