I watched “Dark Shadows” when I went home for lunch every day. Back at school, during third period I would give all the gory details to fellow fanatics of the soap opera.
Probably depends on the physicist you ask, lol. There certainly are strict Christians who are physicists and I assume the same is true of most religions.
God(s), He or She or they, always kinda hide in the questions, right? Before you know what gravity is you think a being pushes the Sun across the sky, etc.
Most of the discussion that vaugely related to this topic nowadays probably revolves around weird stuff with quantum mechanics. Stuff like a particle exists in multiple places at the same time, as shown by theory and experiment, until you "measure" where it is at which time the particle sort of "chooses" a specific position. Well you need an intelligence to "measure" something so how do you define that, maybe that's a "soul" that's more than our physical being etc.
This is my meager understanding. Someone more intelligent than me might be able to discuss more intelligently. I just write the poems, ma'am.

Don't forget to like!
🤩 A.P. Is right, you have outdone yourself! I particularly love 14 & 20, but man, these are all so good!
You all inspire me! You have a niche on Substack that is original and brings out creative souls. It’s an incredible gift.
☺️
Twenty variations on a dual star system toxic relationship - you outdid yourself Gloria!
I wrote the first one about a television actor. The rest just came over the course of the day.
My astral skirts swirl
In this cosmic flamenco
As you stand, poised, drained.
So nice! An exhausting cosmic dance and neither partner can leave🖤
Feelings don't exist
In the cold gaze of physics
You still lose your soul
Here’s a question I am in no way capable of intelligently discussing, but am going to ask anyway: does physics allow for a soul?
Probably depends on the physicist you ask, lol. There certainly are strict Christians who are physicists and I assume the same is true of most religions.

Better than I could do! I really just want souls to turn out to be dark matter… which I know nothing about🤔
Well, I'm pretty sure my soul is black as night. So, dark matter here we come 😉
I’ve sold mine numerous times to various people so I have no idea how I’m even alive with this dark matter void. Science is so weird.
True!
It soon gets tiresome,
Siphoning essence, without,
The thrill of the hunt... 😎
Nice take!! It does seem like it would get dull, doesn’t it?🖤
Thanks! It definitely lacks the glamour of being a proper vampire, for sure. Haha... 😎
Loving these astronomy/cosmology inspired prompts! Anyway:
Sipping on your essence
Waiting for the day you're spent
Before I explode
There is so much to unpack here! Some cosmic predestination, but slowly, knowing the end destroys them both. Well done🖤
Star sucker
Double dipper
Drain delighter.
Always a master of the alliteration🖤
I’m tethered to you,
Forced to gorge on light and fire
You won’t let me go
Oh I love this reversal!🖤
Slurping starstuff, starved for your
juicy molecules, we gravitate
toward a barycentre of satisfaction
I love it when you teach me new words🖤
Never ever seen or heard of a barycentre before.
I love this prompt! It is perfect for Haiku.
I’ll be back.
