Beware her embrace

Eyes waiting to hypnotize

Fangs ready to strike

Handle with caution, I like this lady 🖤

Here's one I wrote a few months ago and published here on da 'stack and 'gram. Based on the Bill Shakespeare quote: "Look like the innocent flower, but be the serpent under it."

Whoa, we can’t be friends

Feel that cold steel? I’m the rake

That bludgeons the snake

Awesome 😎 That quote is one of my favorites

My pet hisses, writhes…

Slither, search… succulent prey!

Cats are much like snakes

You know, I never thought about it but you’re right!

Forked tongue flickering

Lidless eyes that hypnotize

Suffocating coils

Something about that middle line really creeps me out. Well done🖤

A twist, then a crack,

A rush as my breath escapes.

Our eyes lock, then fade.

You’ll have to help me with this reference. When I tried to google I just got snake print shoes😅

Caleb Taylor's avatar

Hahaha, that is not what I expected. What are snake print shoes?

The reference is to the mythical story of Caesar Augustus’ birth. Suetonius says that there was a legend that Octavian’s mother went to worship in Apollo’s temple. She fell asleep there, Apollo approached her in the form of a snake, and she woke up with the mark of a snake on her. And she gave birth to Octavian/Augustus.

Ah, ok, that makes the shoes even weirder😂
