I always tell people to start with a cactus. Put it somewhere where you HAVE to look at it everyday. The main reason people think they can’t take care of plants is because we’re kind of conditioned not to notice them… but you know, that leads to death in houseplants 😅
The other thing I like to tell people, is that I’ve killed so many plants☠️ It happens. The more you kill, the more you learn🤷♀️
London stuff, probably. It's dark and foggy in all the films! I think it was even grey in Star Trek's Into Darkness, and that was set in the future!
England can be gorgeous. Sure, it's grey sometimes, but Shakespeare meant something other than fog when he said "shall I compare thee to a summer's day?" 😄
I'm happy to see how old the parlour palm is. It's still a household staple, and I look after mine, somehow.
Great piece! I always learn so much from you. I want to be a plant owner, but I have a black thumb. Is that a thing? It def ain't green. ha

This was so interesting! And those Victorian paintings are a mood!
Thank you! Yeah the Victorian vibe is something else!
I have a parlour palm in my dreary English home. They're still very popular here.
😂Ok maybe dreary was an adjective too far. But I always picture Victorian England as dark and foggy for some reason.
